Just picked up three white shirts - and got charged £17! My jaw nearly hit the floor. I have recently moved up from London, and have grown accustomed to paying £2.50 a shirt (which is considered 'top end'). Astounded that this 'run of the mill' place feels it can warrant charging nearly £6 per shirt. I totally accept that this is my fault - I should have checked the price beforehand. This is merely a warning to anyone else looking to get their items dry cleaned. My advice, go somewhere else!

Been using this cleaners for years to wash the big stuff like duvets and holiday towels. Always friendly and coffee shops nearby while you wait for machines to finish.

Get my work stuff washed and ironed here every two weeks and it’s great and staff are really nice

They are simply the best! Great to get my polos and chinos back wrapped in polythene. My washing machine and iron are definitely redundant now.And the people are so nice and chatty.

Very disappointed, this is second time I have received shirts back that are creased / collars not ironed straight and had to re-wash and iron myself or received trousers that were supposed to have a seam, returned with it ironed out (?). They are super quick but I would rather wait longer or pay more than pay for nothing.

Appallingly bad! Picked up 3 garments, when I got them home realised that they all smelt disgusting and were dirty. Owner refused to refund and denied that there was a problem. To be avoided.

I brought a duvet here to be washed as a dog had urinated on it - staff knew this. They then put the clean duvet into the SAME BIN BAG - surely basic common sense would stop anyone doing this! Staff then tried to lie and say it was a new bin bag (it wasn't), then changed their story and said it was turned inside out. Avoid as the level of care and service is terrible.

They don’t sell cards in bulk my wife could have buy more

The two ladies who were working were both really unwelcoming. Will never go back. Will go to Havelock which isn't as handy instead. Much nicer staff though and you dont get charged to use the machine on top of the minute rate.

Not happy at allDecided to try this dry cleaners as they are the closest to my houseTook three items to clean1- curtains - not dirty but smelly as my cat decided to pee on them. After the dry clean the curtains are still smelly and on top of that the process had destroyed the rings in the curtains as they’ve lost the colour - became white instead of brown ( need to add that the same curtains were dry cleaned in another place with no issues at all )2 - down jacket , again, previously dry cleaned with no issues. Returned to me with clumps of down , clearly not fluffed when it was drying3 -Warm winter jacket filled with synthetic material - that was actually cleaned okThis dry cleaners are cheaper than the one I’ve used before and clearly for a reason. Will obviously never use again and will never recommend to anyone

Fantastic service, was visiting Glasgow and needed a jacket dry cleaned urgently, was recommended The Steam Shop and did a fantastic job, great price too!!

I never go online to write reviews about stuff; even when (occasionally) I have bad experiences. But PLEASE guys, for your own sake, stay away from this 'business'.I just picked up two suits, 2 pairs of trousers and a casual jacket. That cost me £40! And I didn't even get a receipt...I thought it was really pricy but that is not even my main issue. From the moment I walked in the place, I've never felt so unwelcomed in a place. When I asked the two ladies how much the stuff is going to cost, it took them ages to tell me how much it would be and in the end I walked away without knowing exactly how much it would be. I've washed some clothes as well and when asking how to use the machines (as I haven't used them before) it got to a stage where one of the ladies literally huffed in my face. The customer service is absolutely appalling.Furthermore, to my absolute amazement I believe they are smoking in the back of the shop as it is absolutely stinking in there. And as I was afraid, although the clothes came back on hangers and bagged, when I opened them, they were stinking of cigarette smoke!! So...imagine you go to the dry cleaners to get stuff cleaned and it comes back smelling of cigarette smoke - SHOCKING!It's quite ironic reading the other '1-star' reviews that I see here. I wish I'd read them before going but I can confirm that I've found all the problems that the others have reported as well.I'd give it 0 stars but unfortunately I can't. Never again.

Amazing service and friendly chat from the staff, had much clothes dry cleaned and some items pressed - prices were fair and overall very happy with my garments. Sadly I have noted some people commenting on the prices and leaving mean reviews based on this - well if you don’t want to pay for a specialist service and over 30years of experience in cleaning and pressing garments then I suggest you do them yourselves. Please Stop expecting Tesco prices from your local small business!
