Georgian Tailoring

I have had great experiences in the past, however recently, the quality of work has deteriorated. I think it depends on what gentleman is working. The one I dealt with was rude and unprofessional. He RUINED my dress. I had a small pinhole in a once-worn, cotton striped dress, and I expected him to sew the hole. Instead, he folded up some material around the hole, very unevenly. The stripe is all crooked and askew, the stitches are very visible and the material doesn’t lay flat. I cannot wear this dress anymore! When I told him so, he exclaimed, “I am sick of working! I work 14 hour days and I am tired! Thousands of people come here. 6$ isn’t worth it. Go somewhere else next time.” I told him his customers depend on him doing a good job, but he just walked away and said, “Get your Mom to do it next time.” He also ruined a pair of my Dad’s new pants, shortening them too high so they are too short…brand new pants, ruined! I am so sorry I let him ruin my dress. He isn’t.

Terrible customer service here. They are insulting and extremely over priced. I've taken my business elsewhere.

WARNING!!! I would of given 0 stars if that had been an option. Georgian Tailoring made a mess of my expensive drapes. I took them in yesterday and told him I needed 6 panels hemmed as well as two panels sewn together. He quoted me 40.00 to sew them together and 25.00 per panel to hem. Total with tax 215.00. We picked them up in the afternoon which I though was excellent service. Oh my goodness !!! when we returned home and hung them up the wave action at the bottom was horrible. We are not talking about them being out a quarter of an inch or less we are talking three inches different from one side to the other side of the panel. Quite the wave action with all the panels. The four panels that he had sewen together to make two panels for my large window he just joined them together and ran a seem up. These drapes are lined and would need the lining opened up and sew separate from the actual drape. I never thought I would need to tell a professional that! So they hung all puckered all the way down that seam on both the panels. I called him right away and told him we would need to revisit these drapes either today or would he prefer tomorrow. He told me to bring them back the next morning. This morning we returned with them and he told me he would take them apart again but they could not be sewn together now because they are lined. I then said, why did you not inform us yesterday when they where dropped off that this would be the end result and is that how I would like to proceed. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a professional seamstress would let work like that leave their premises. I would think it would be a matter of pride and workmanship. For me all I had to know is what it would cost more to make them look proper. Or, that he did not have the set up or sewing machine to make them look like they are professionally done. These drapes cost us thousands of dollars and he should of known by the quality we would want it done right no matter the cost. He told me most people would be happy with that kind of job. I asked if I would get a refund for the cost of sewing them together if he was taking them apart again. He said no, I am a small business and said if a plumper did a bad job I would not expect my money back ( what) makes no sense. I said to him, so let me understand. You are willing to fix the bottoms of all the panels and take these two seams out and I do not know if there will be holes when you take them apart and I don’t get a refund of 40.00 for them not being sewn together. He said correct! I am a small business. I said so you would want a review based on that answer? He then picked up my basket of drapes and shoved them back at me and said he was not touching them anymore go somewhere else to fix them! If this forum would of let me post pictures of his work I would have. The variation on the hem is out in some places 3 inches. Not one panel was even close to being correct. I would suggest if you had a rip on a seam and needed it fixed then they might be qualified for that. Other than that STAY AWAY! Now it will cost me 300.00 plus to get them repaired because how I have to repay to undo what he did. Thanks for nothing Georgian Tailoring!

They are the best, they are so quick and easy to get to. Just pop in and drop off the items you want hemmed and a few days later you've got your items back! Always amazing customer service and they are super friendly.

Every time I’ve gone there with something the guy is incredible, always done in a timely manor and if you give him enough time and explain in detail what you want you will always get what you asked for! took in an XL shirt and an L shirt, he size compared made me try on both etc he turned the XL into an L in 4 days and you could barely notice. 5/5 would recommend and have been meaning to take a coat and pants over!

The service at Georgian Tailoring is exceptional. Small fixes such as zipper replacements are very affordable and are literally finished in less than 30 minutes sometimes. Would absolutely recommend.Ps. sorry for the accident review
