2026-06-26 00:00:00I had been a loyal customer of Coco Laundry for over a year, but after my recent experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone. When my laundry was delivered, I discovered several of my clothes were missing. The business did not inform me that items were missing—I discovered it myself. When I spoke directly with the owner, she admitted they sometimes leave the back door unlocked, and that security camera footage showed someone entering through it and taking my belongings. Even more concerning, the owner acknowledged that this had happened before. Rather than offering direct compensation, they offered store credit for future services. I made it clear I had no interest in a voucher because I no longer trusted them to handle my belongings safely. The owner pointed to their terms and conditions, claiming they were not liable for stolen items, and even said that if they compensated customers every time this happened, they wouldn't be able to stay in business. Approximately 10 of my clothing items were missing, including new dress shirts and pants. This wasn't just a minor inconvenience. It was a significant financial loss. Replacing the missing clothing ultimately cost me $442, and I also had to spend my own time shopping for replacements because of what I was told was a preventable security issue. Despite all of this, I tried to find a compromise. Since I had been a loyal customer for over a year and was still willing to continue using their services if they improved their security, I proposed $500 in store credit. I believed this was a reasonable compromise given the value of the missing clothing and the inconvenience I was facing. Instead, the owner refused, insisting they bore no responsibility and offering at most a $100 voucher. What bothered me most was that at no point did I feel the owner was seriously willing to compensate me appropriately. Instead, the conversation centered on why the business wasn't legally responsible. As someone who had been a loyal customer for over a year, I found that extremely disappointing. What concerns me most isn't just that my clothes went missing, but also how the situation was handled. The owner acknowledged that they sometimes leave the back door unlocked and that this was not the first time clothes had been stolen. I also asked what changes would be made to prevent this from happening again, but I did not receive any reassurance that their procedures would change. Instead, they relied on their terms and conditions and offered only a $100 voucher. If you're considering using Coco Laundry, understand that your belongings may not be secure and that, if something goes wrong, you may be left to deal with the consequences yourself. Based on my experience, once they have your clothes, the risk is yours—not theirs.
