Cute little laundry place, right across the street from the farmers market, it was really easy to not be bored out of my mind while doing laundry.

There's nothing I hate more than having to pay to do something that I didn't really want to do in the first place. That being said, most of my experiences at Bubble Beach have been fine. No one has ever stolen my clothes, and the people there are cool about refunding your money if a machine eats your quarters. I'd advise that you don't go on the weekend... it gets crowded and there's no real sense of order. And they just jacked up their prices, which is disappointing.

When I used to crash at my boyfriend's beach shack while I was in town from SF, I would drag our laundry over to Bubble Beach for an adventure. See, we would usually just drop it off and let them fluff-n-fold, til one day we noticed the proprietess wearing one of his shirts. It wasn't some Old Navy, everyone's-got-it tee. He had made it. Ehn, whatever. The real fun came when you did your own laundry. I would stake out the high capacity machines to get it all done with a quickness. On my favorite day, this lady comes in with her 10-year-old daughter. Little's dragging the biggest stuffed rabbit I've ever seen. They enlist my help to shove this beast in the ginormo washer. Wanting to see this happen, I comply. They git 'er loaded up and dump in a box of suds but bolt when the machine starts overflowing with foam and rocking around. Plus I have a pic. Hi-larious. That's why I love the beach.

I'm hysterical over blackbird's review.....and check out his photo of the woman washing the stuffed rabbit. Grace Slick flashed through my mind, singing White Rabbit...... Omigod, Bubble Beach holds memories for me, but not nearly that good. I used to do laundry here sometimes when I lived on Venice Beach. It was nice to have that little parking lot behind the laundromat because parking spaces on SaMo's Main Street are about as rare as hen's teeth. I seem to remember the dryers didn't run very hot, but hey....nobody's in a hurry at the beach...... "And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you're going to fall Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar Has given you the call..."

I've been here a bunch of times because I only have one washer and one dryer in my building but I usually have like 5 loads of laundry to do at once (including sheets, towels, etc..) I'd give 3 stars because its expensive and the washing machines are kind of small but I just like it too much to give less than a 4-star review. $2.25 per wash and the dryers give you 6 minutes for every $0.25. The driers hold up to 3 loads of laundry (but i recommend only putting 2 in there and on MEDIUM Heat... the HIGH Heat just makes your clothes so stiff and almost feel burnt). Its pretty safe, I usually walk down to Finn McCools for a beer while I'm waiting for my laundry to finish. Or if you go on a Sunday morning then its free parking for Farmers Market which is, literally, right across the street. Also, the staff is really nice and don't bother you or anything and sometimes if they're bored they'll help you fold your laundry! I do recommend this place... Enjoy!

Nothing bad about it, but nothing great about it either. The parking in back was a welcoming surprise though. I couldn't believe it when I stumbled on an open spot there. The second welcoming surprise was the number of attractive women doing their laundry here, but maybe that's more a function of the part of town than the laundromat itself. It's $2.25 per wash, which is more expensive than the $1.00 per wash for the 1 washer I have in my apartment complex, so I haven't returned here for that reason and that reason alone. If you're looking for a non-sketchy laundromat though, this place is perfectly fine and I will probably be back when I have huge amounts to do or someone is hogging the washer downstairs.

Filthy, feculent, with indifferent customer service. The place was disgusting. Floor and folding tables were covered with filth. Two out of three machines I used were broken. The attendant Avacay would not interrupt her personal cell phone call to help me, and refused to refund my money. A disheveled homeless woman apparently has an arrangement with management to fold customers' clothes in exchange for residing there. She was pushy. When my bill became stuck in the change machine, I was told "caveat emptor." Avoid.

One of the better wash and fold places I have found over here so far. It's more costly than the others but in this case you do get what you pay for. Even the do it yourself is more. There's a $20 minimum on the wash n fold too so if you don't have much to wash... There's parking in the back. Chairs you can use to sit out front and get sun while reading or people watching as they walk and shop on Main. It's pretty small and might get full but I haven't had a problem with this so far. The women working here is very nice and helpful as well.

I hate Laundry....like really really hate And I have a ton ( yes Maybe thousands of pounds ) of clothes Lucky for me, I also have Bubble Beach...I live in Los Feliz....but I still bring my clothes all the way down here....and my dry cleaner is down the Street... Sometimes they call me and wonder why I have left my clothes there for 2 months....but then they havent seen my whole closet so they don't understand that a ton of clothes have trouble fitting in my apartment.... I should be paying them storage... Oh by the way, they do a great job...never ruined or shrunk anything

I do not have laundry in the building so I am forced to look elsewhere. Being new to the area, I stumbled upon Bubble Beach after reading the positive reviews. I called a few other places in the area and BB seemed to be the most affordable for the drop off option. My clothes were ready the next day, folded nicely and all wrapped up. They also hang-dried the few items I set aside that couldn't go in the hot dryer. I am very happy with the results and plan to use them every time!

Don't ever, ever come here to do laundry yourself. The only thing this place has going for itself is location. I can't speak for the fluff & fold service, however, the number of broken machines makes doing your own laundry a pain. And they have been broken for weeks. I stopped coming here about two months ago but decided to give it another try today. Bad idea. Many of the dryers have strange temperature characteristics, either too hot or too cold. I lost my white sheets to a dryer that burned them while set to 'low.' The front loading washers seem to have a mind of their own and work to destroy your clothing (when they work). When I was at Bubble Beach today there were 8 machines (washers & dryers) that were out of service. The ATM, vending machine & two of the change dispensers were also out of service. Especially considering the price of the machines, there shouldn't be so many that don't work. Avoid if possible.

I love this laundromat. Bubble Beach is sooo cute and hip, not depressing like most laundromats. There are always good looking people doing their laundry...I guess they're actors and actresses. I can leave my clothes when I go to Starbucks or shopping on Main St. and the nice attendants move them from the washers to the driers to save me time. Maria is a sweet lady that always helps me with the machines or if I have any questions about stains. I feel safe even when I do my laundry late at night. I would highly recommend this laundromat.

I would do my laundry regularly and had no problems. I decided to use their drop off service and I will never do it again, if you value your clothes don't leave them here. Staff was friendly until some of my clothes were missing. I am still getting the run around . The mysterious manager named CED has never returned my calls even though I left my name nd number with staff 3x. I've lost over 100. Dollars in clothing and have yet to get any satisfaction. I'm tired of calling. So if you value your clothes they might get lost and they will not do anything about it.

They are OK. I just find the detergent to be to fragrant.

A straightforward laudromat that does what it's supposed to. The fold and clean service has turned it around quickly when I've used it.

I have been going to Bubble Beach laundry for the past 3 years. I simply drop off my clothes and a day later pick them up smelling fresh, all folded and separated by color. The woman who work there could not be any nicer... I highly recommend this place.

This is the first time I've ever had to stand around and wait for a dryer at a commercial laundry place, an inconvenience more common in college and apartment facilities. How to assign blame isn't a completely easy question, since they can't be responsible for someone showing up and occupying five dryers and leaving items after the closing time. But the usage of dryers for both the coin-op and laundry service operations is a risk factor, and having three broken dryers out of around 16 also affects the odds. On the bright side, it was clean and after I eventually got to use the dryers they worked well.
